FSM Product Analyst & CI Lead

Newcastle, Australia In person Full-time

Full-time | 35-hour week + flexible working

Turn business insights into practical improvements that help our field teams deliver

Do meaningful work that supports essential services for the Lower Hunter community

We are seeking an FSM Product Analyst and Continuous Improvement Lead to join our Customer Delivery division on a full-time, ongoing basis, within our Information, Control and Energy team.

Reporting to the Manager FSM, you’ll help improve how Hunter Water’s Field Services Management (FSM), PSO and related systems support our field and office teams. Your work will strengthen field productivity, information quality and user experience, connecting business needs with practical improvements that deliver lasting operational value.

You’ll lead stakeholder discovery, translate ideas into clear requirements and coordinate approved roadmap initiatives from planning through testing, implementation and benefits realisation. You’ll also establish how success will be measured, helping us understand which improvements make a difference and where to focus next.

Collaboration is central to this role. Your focus will be on process improvement, business readiness and the delivery of measurable business outcomes.

If you enjoy connecting people, processes and technology—and seeing your analysis translate into improvements people can use—this could be a great next step in your career.

What you'll do

  • Lead FSM process improvements with stakeholders, using Hunter Water’s established methodology and measuring business benefits.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, process maps, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate approved FSM and PSO initiatives, managing scope, priorities, risks and dependencies through testing and release approval.
  • Apply Prosci methodology to process impacts and business readiness, partnering with the Change and Adoption Lead on people change.
  • Connect operational teams, Digital, vendors and Functional Specialists to improve information quality and integrated processes across related systems.

What you'll need to be successful

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in business analysis, continuous improvement, solution delivery or product management, improving processes and operational outcomes.
  • Experience delivering business and technology initiatives from requirements through testing, implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
  • Prosci certification and ability to apply Hunter Water’s Prosci methodology to process improvement and business readiness.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of integrated enterprise systems, using data to identify improvements, measure benefits and inform decisions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills, with experience developing requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria and business cases.

Desirable Criteria

Experience with configurable operational platforms such as FSM, PSO, IFS Cloud, GIS, ERP, scheduling or asset management systems.

Experience coordinating vendors and delivery partners, and knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean or operational excellence methodologies.

Relevant qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline.
