What is Sniper?

When a new job matches your filters, it fills out and submits the application on the company's own career site (Greenhouse, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, Lever, UKG Pro, JazzHR and Jobvite) under your name, with your profile and the resume that fits the role best. It applies to up to 500 jobs a week and never to the same job posting twice.

How does Sniper decide which jobs to apply to?

You choose your roles, locations, experience level, job type, minimum salary and visa sponsorship needs. You can also tell Sniper what to skip. It applies to new jobs that match those preferences on supported career sites.

How fast does Sniper apply?

Typically within minutes of a job going live on the company's career page. Timing depends on the career site and how often we check it, so it is not guaranteed, but the aim is simple: your application lands in the first batch a recruiter reads.

Which job sites does Sniper apply on?

Accepted Answer

Company career sites on Greenhouse, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Ashby, Lever, UKG Pro, JazzHR and Jobvite, plus Meta's, Microsoft's, IBM's, Walmart's, Netflix's and Amazon's own career sites. Applications on the employers' own sites are for US-based applicants, and IBM's, Walmart's and Amazon's go only to US roles; Microsoft's are also open to applicants based in India or Canada; Amazon's are also open to applicants based in the UK. Google and Apple are coming soon. The 25 free applications go to jobs on the same sites. Matching jobs on other sites still show up in your feed, so you can apply to those yourself.

Does Sniper apply through my LinkedIn account?

No. Sniper applies directly on employer career sites and never logs in to your LinkedIn account, never uses Easy Apply and never submits anything on linkedin.com. If a form asks for your LinkedIn profile URL and you have shared one, Sniper types it in.

Will Sniper apply to the same job twice?

Accepted Answer

No. Sniper sends at most one application per job posting, and Scoutify skips reposts of an opening you have already applied to. Separate postings for the same role, such as one role listed in two cities, count as different jobs, so leave out cities you don't want.

Which resume does Sniper use?

Accepted Answer

You can upload up to 100 resumes on Sniper. It picks the one that best fits each job, so your engineering resume can go to engineering roles and your industry-specific version can go to the right companies. The Auto Apply plan uses one resume.

Do I need to keep my computer on?

Accepted Answer

No. Sniper runs on our servers. Once you've set it up, it keeps applying even when you close the app or your computer is off.

Can Sniper use my Gmail or Outlook address?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect your Gmail or Outlook account, or use a Scoutify address. Sniper uses that address on applications. Scoutify Mail keeps confirmations and recruiter replies together with the application in an employer thread.

How do I know an application went through?

Accepted Answer

Most applications get the employer's own confirmation email within a couple of minutes. On Sniper it lands in Scoutify Mail next to the application, and recruiter replies after that are sorted into stages like Screener, Interviewing and Offer. Your dashboard shows the status of each application.

Can employers tell if you use auto apply?

Employers see a complete application on their own career site, with your resume, contact details and answers. Some employers look for bulk applications, which is one reason Sniper sends at most one application per job posting and only applies to jobs that pass your filters. If you would rather not send several applications to one company, exclude it or narrow your locations.

Your first 25 applications are free, no card needed. After that, plans are billed weekly: Sniper is $25/week for up to 500 applications, Auto Apply is $15/week for up to 200 on one resume, and Alerts is $5/week for real-time job alerts.
