About the role

• We are looking for two Legal Counsels to
• join our Legal & Compliance team in Virum, Denmark. These are true
• generalist roles, with your time split roughly equally between legal and
• compliance work. On the legal side, you will work with commercial contracts,
• project support and claims, alongside a range of other legal matters. On the
• compliance side, you will work with business ethics, confidentiality, data
• protection and AI governance. The work is varied, and you will always have
• several matters running at once.

You will work closely with colleagues

• across NNE and support our subsidiaries in India and the US, giving you insight
• into the entire NNE value chain. Our goal is commercially relevant advice,
• delivered on time, that helps the business move forward with clarity and
• confidence.

You

• will report directly to the General Counsel, who heads the Legal &
• Compliance team globally. You will join a small, dedicated team of colleagues
• who are passionate about what they do, in a positive, informal and supportive
• atmosphere, where open sparring is part of everyday work.

This

• is a hands-on in-house role where you will work closely with the business and
• see the practical impact of your advice on complex engineering projects. You
• will be given responsibility from the outset, while working alongside
• experienced colleagues who will support your continued development.

• Danish attorney (advokat), you can retain your practising certificate in this
• role

How you might spend your days

As a Legal Counsel, you’ll be

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating consultancy agreements and a wide range of other commercial contracts, including supplier, software, framework and data processing agreements
• Advising projects on contractual matters, change orders and claims
• Driving key elements of our compliance programme across business ethics, data protection, confidentiality and AI governance, including internal audits
• Developing and maintaining legal and compliance policies, standards and procedures
• Delivering training and awareness activities across the business

What you bring to the role

In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:

A master’s degree in law (cand.jur.) or business law (cand.merc.jur.) or an equivalent legal qualification

Around 3-5 years of experience from a law firm and/or an in-house legal function

A broad legal foundation and an interest in working across different areas of law and compliance

Excellent written and spoken English

A responsible, curious approach to AI and new technology.
