Cresset was built to endure. We are creating a 100+ year firm—one focused on delivering an exceptional experience, not only for the families we serve but for the team that serves them. Recognized by Barron’s among the nation’s top multi-family offices,* Cresset is guided by long-term relationships, shared success, and a belief that wealth should serve a life well lived.

The Client Transition Specialist is a highly visible role within the Client Service organization, with a dotted-line relationship to Integrations. Success in this role is critical to the successful onboarding and long-term effectiveness of newly joined financial advisory teams. The Client Transition Specialist accelerates transitions by serving as an on-site, concierge-style resource for advisors and client service professionals while directly executing the detailed, end-to-end onboarding of their clients.

This includes preparing, reviewing, and sending client documentation, facilitating account opening and asset transfers, tracking onboarding activity through completion, and resolving issues that could delay the transition. The role also helps newly joined teams establish the workflows, technology, and operating practices required to become self-sufficient within Cresset.

Operating in a high-stakes, fast-paced, high-volume environment, this role requires urgency, precision, sound judgment, and exceptional organization. The Client Transition Specialist works across advisory teams, clients, custodians, and internal partners to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, anticipate and resolve issues in real time, and deliver seamless client and team experience while adhering to firm policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. When not assigned to an active transition, the role provides Client Service support to established financial advisory teams and contributes to special projects and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary day-to-day resource for newly joined advisors and client service professionals, providing high-touch support, clear communication, and real-time problem resolution throughout the transition.

Apply working knowledge of firm policies, procedures, investment products, financial accounts, and custodial workflows to support accurate, compliant, and efficient transition execution.

Partner with Integrations and cross-functional teams to establish operational readiness, including technology access, systems, tools, workflows, client documentation, and other Day One and post-transition requirements.

Help advisory teams establish their infrastructure within Cresset's technology stack and operating ecosystem and connect team members with the appropriate training and resources to build lasting self-sufficiency.

Identify process inefficiencies and recurring transition challenges, recommend practical improvements, and contribute to scalable workflows, playbooks, training resources, and technology adoption that improve the integration experience and team performance.

When not supporting an active transition, provide back-up Client Service support to established financial advisory teams, assist with standard workflows, and contribute to special projects as needed.
