Position Summary
The Purchasing Intern will get cross functional exposure within and outside of supply chain and to external suppliers, data analysis and management – converting legacy systems data to new ERP developing and implementing tools for vendor management. They will assist buyers and commodity managers in day-to-day purchasing activities.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and control new projects around vendor management, including structure and organization of:non-disclosure agreements, code of conduct, risk assessment, risk register and a comprehensive key supplier database.
- Low-spend vendor management.
- Consolidation of vendors to reduce administrative costs.
- Day to day support of buyers and managers in reviewing forecasts, placing orders, expediting, issuing releases.
- Conversion of legacy systems data for new ERP as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Pursuing Degree in Supply Chain or similar field.
- Strong data analysis skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, especially SharePoint
