About the Role

We’re hiring a Research Marketing Associate to help share the research and technical work happening across Abaka AI. You’ll work closely with our research, engineering, and marketing teams to turn papers, project milestones, and technical ideas into clear, engaging content for social media and other channels.

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on social media. When our team has papers accepted at a conference like NeurIPS, you’ll help coordinate the announcements, work with authors to understand what matters, and create posts that make the work accessible to a broader audience. You’ll also help identify stories worth sharing throughout the year, so our research and marketing efforts stay connected.

We’re open to early-career candidates who show strong writing, good judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in AI. You don’t need a research background, but you should be curious, proactive, and comfortable working with technical teammates.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and publish social media posts about research papers, conference acceptances, technical projects, partnerships, and company milestones.
• Work with researchers and engineers to understand their work, identify the most compelling points, and communicate them accurately to a broader audience.
• Coordinate research announcements from planning through publication, including gathering information, tracking approvals, preparing assets, and meeting deadlines.
• Maintain a content calendar for research and technical updates, and proactively follow up with teammates on upcoming opportunities.
• Create and adapt copy for LinkedIn, X, the company website, newsletters, and other relevant channels.
• Partner with designers and other marketing teammates to develop visuals and campaigns that support each story.
• Follow AI research and industry conversations to suggest timely topics, formats, and opportunities for Abaka AI to participate.
• Review content for accuracy, clarity, grammar, consistency, and presentation before publication.
• Track basic content performance and use the results to improve future posts.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience creating social media or marketing content through a full-time role, internship, student organization, personal account, or independent project.
• Excellent written English and the ability to explain unfamiliar or technical topics clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple posts and deadlines at once.
• Interest in AI research and a willingness to learn enough about technical projects to communicate them accurately.
• A proactive, collaborative working style and comfort asking questions, gathering input, and following through with teammates.
• Good judgment about what makes content useful, credible, and engaging for its intended audience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing an active social media account or creating content that has built a meaningful audience.
• A portfolio of posts, articles, or campaigns that demonstrates strong writing and an understanding of social media.
• Experience creating content for AI, technology, developer, or research audiences.
• Experience supporting research paper announcements, conference campaigns, or technical product launches.
• Familiarity with basic social media analytics and content planning tools.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $110,000 USD annually. Compensation may vary outside this range based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.

Base salary is one part of the total compensation package at Abaka AI. This role is also eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, and a flexible work schedule.
