This Position reports to

IS Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as the senior owner of production planning and materials management for our SAP ECC environment. You will clear a growing PP/MM enhancement backlog and deliver production planning for the retirement of our legacy Infor manufacturing systems, KBM and LX, plant by plant. This position calls for direct execution: you build what you plan and coordinate outside consultants when in-house capacity is stretched. Here, done means the plant is planning in SAP. A signed-off blueprint, a released transport or a closed ticket is not done.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #hybrid (minimum three days per week in the office)

This role is contributing to the Installation Products Division of the Electrification business area in North America.

Main stakeholders are plant planners, schedulers and buyers, the Operations Domain Lead and Operations Lead PP, external consulting partners, and our S/4HANA Public Cloud team in Europe

You will be mainly accountable for

Clearing the PP/MM backlog - owning enhancements and APTs in production planning and materials management from requirement to working solution in the plant, prioritized with the Operations Domain Lead and closed on the dates you commit.

Delivering production planning for the KBM/LX conversion - capturing how each plant really plans, including the spreadsheets nobody has written down and the knowledge of experts close to retirement. Then designing and configuring the SAP target, converting BOMs, routings and planning master data, and taking each plant through testing, cutover and hypercare.

Getting planning strategies right - MTS, MTO, ETO and CTO, variant configuration and requirements consumption designed for how each product family is actually built and sold.

Directing external consultants without being their manager - scoping the work, tracking progress, reviewing configuration and specifications before they go live, and closing the work properly. You own the outcome even when you do not do every part of the delivery yourself.

Using AI aggressively, inside and outside SAP - for analysis, configuration research, legacy data and code reading, test scenarios and documentation, including the agentic AI platforms for SAP the team is adopting - and showing the team what works.

Supporting the plants and S/4HANA - solving production-impacting planning issues fast, with workarounds the plant can live with while the root cause is fixed. Providing support for our S/4HANA Public Cloud operations in Europe as needed, while helping prepare our primary ECC system for the move to S/4HANA through PP/MM knowledge. All of this within change control, segregation of duties and governance, including what AI tools are allowed to see.

Our team dynamics

You will join a streamlined Operations team that follows a few simple rules. Done means in use. If you are blocked, find another route the same day, inside the rules. Go and see: the answer is usually on the shop floor or in the planner’s spreadsheet. Something small delivered this week beats something complete next quarter. AI is expected, and “I don’t know, here is how I will find out” is a good answer here. You will have no direct reports. People in this role can grow into ownership of production planning design, leadership of plant rollouts, or an Operations value stream position.

Qualifications for the role

You bring more than 10 years of SAP PP experience in ECC, with full-cycle configuration and support across MRP, BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity planning, and planned and production orders.

You have deep, practical knowledge of MTS, MTO, ETO and CTO planning strategies, including requirements consumption and sales order stock. You also bring practical variant configuration experience, including characteristics, classes, dependencies, super BOMs and routings, and sales order BOMs.

You have solid SAP MM as it supports manufacturing - procurement for production, special stocks, subcontracting and goods movements - and you have worked in or close to real plants, in discrete manufacturing.

You have demonstrated measurable production results, including cases where you turned around work that had been stalled. You have directed external consultants or partner resources and seen the work through to closure.

You regularly rely on AI in your current work, or can point to something you independently built or automated with it.

S/4HANA manufacturing experience (MRP Live, Advanced Variant Configuration, embedded PP/DS, MRP Fiori apps) is highly desired, including a Public Cloud implementation or an ECC-to-S/4HANA conversion. So is the ability to read and debug ABAP.

Legacy-to-SAP conversions or plant rollouts (from Infor LX/BPCS), BOM and routing data migration at scale, and APICS/ASCM (CPIM) or SAP PP/MM certifications.

You communicate clearly in English - clear beats polished.

You hold a valid work authorization for India.

With your CV, include three to five sentences on something you finished that was stuck when you picked it up: what was blocking it, what you did, and what the end state was. Add one sentence on how you use AI in your work today. We read these before your CV.
