Ceded Reinsurance Analyst

Responsibilities

-SOX CONTROLS (quarterly)

• oPrepare report for the contract management control – get evidence.
• oPrepare report for the reinsurance credit rating – get evidence.
• oPrepare report for the reinsurance contract main terms control – get evidence.
• oLiaise with actuaries about Risk Transfer report needed for the control.
• oImprove controls for efficiency and work on new controls as needed (example: assist by reviewing information given by Reinsurance Ops when new Reinsurance platform is live).

-ASSIST IN THE REINSURANCE TREATY PLACEMENT

• oRequest information from other teams to prepare the submission to markets – review the final submission pack;
• oPrepare resumes and schematics (other reports like sliding scale that are currently in excel file which hopefully are going to be in the new reinsurance platform).
• oSupport to prepare TO BOOK email for finance/ RI ops (when new reinsurance app is working support by adding info into the platform)

-CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

• oMaintain accurate records of reinsurance contracts, endorsements, and correspondence (save in folders).
• oWork with the team that is implementing ironclad (contract management tool).
• oWhen IronClad is up and running 100%: start the signature process of all documents.
• -Assist in preparation of reinsurance data for internal and external audits.

-FACULTATIVE PLACEMENT

• oLiaise with UWs/MRDs to ensure Accelerant policy and procedures are being followed.
• oReview documents (contract/endorsements) and share it with legal.
• oOnce placement is done share with reinsurance ops.

Skills and Experience

• -Bachelor’s degree.
• -Minimum of 3 years of experience in Ceded Reinsurance / Insurance.
• -Proficiency in MS office skills (excel, word and PowerPoint).
• -Understanding of reinsurance structures (e.g., proportional, non-proportional, facultative), and ceded reinsurance processes.
• -Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• -Ability to work independently and within a virtual team in a fast-paced environment.
• -Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration both in person and virtual.
• -Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
