Responsibilities

Production Support

• Investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system can operate correctly & efficiently
• Provide immediate workaround for all outstanding issues escalated to next level managers
• Interface with the respective levels for problems that require permanent fix and enhancements and provide suggestion/solutions, whenever feasible
• Track all issues escalated till closure
• Perform root cause analysis and prepare incident report
• Conduct capacity, Service Level Agreements and performance review and analysis daily
• Prepare & maintain up-to-date system documentation
• Project Delivery
• Participate in requirements gathering; work with team lead and/or senior analyst in reviewing and refining Interface Specifications; Analyse requirements to translate into middleware design;
• Translate middleware design to program codes and product configuration;
• Develop unit test package, execute tests & document test results to ensure the quality of the program
• Perform integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Test (UAT) & implementation activities to fix the reported problems/bugs of the system to ensure the smooth execution of programs in the production environment
• Install, configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, rectify middleware products
• Monitor, measure, analyse and report system performance parameters
• Make changes to configurable items, which include hardware, software, documentation, etc. It covers configuration management planning, configuration identification, configuration controls & audits
• Timely handling of user query and request and update the problem management system
• Actively identify areas to improve to ensure system stability and ease of maintenance

Requirement

• Typically 2 years’ experience with substantial project work in software development
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management of Information Systems or equivalent
• Experience with message oriented middleware such as IBM MQ, IBM Integration Broker, Microsoft MSMQ, Sonic MQ, Solace MQ, is advantageous
• Experience in interfacing standards, protocols, and programming languages such as Java, .NET, JMS, XML, XSLT, Web Services, SOAP, REST, JSON, MQTT, AMQP, is preferred
• System administration related experience in UNIX and Windows is preferred
• Possess initiative and disposition with a strong commitment and orientation towards results and high quality standards
