Director Of Strategic Growth

Remote Full-time

Company Overview

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

The Position

The Director of Strategic Growth at ACET will lead the identifying, capturing, and winning of multi-million-dollar prime contract opportunities across the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and Federal Civilian agencies.

Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will shape the multi-year business development strategy, leverage ACET’s existing contract vehicles, and expand our positioning in core capabilities: aviation maintenance/modifications, C5ISR systems integration, technical program management, and advanced IT/Cyber solutions.

Responsibilities

Identify, qualify, and win high-value federal defense opportunities, actively managing the lifecycle from early market intelligence through capture strategy to final proposal submission.

Drive growth using ACET's strong array of contract vehicles, including the GSA ASTRO Contract and IAC-MAC IDIQ, ensuring maximum utilization and bid frequency.

Maintain and expand robust networks within key customer commands, specifically Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and federal health/veterans' agencies.

Formulate winning teaming structures; identify and secure premium small and large business subcontractors to bolster proposal technical points.

Collaborate closely with ACET’s technical divisions to align corporate offerings in hardware/software system engineering, uncrewed systems, and logistics with the changing mission requirements of the modern warfighter.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of successful government contracting business development and capture management experience, with a demonstrable win record in the defense or intelligence space.
  • Deep familiarity with federal procurement processes, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and explicit, pre-existing relationships within NAVAIR or broader DoD entities.
  • Broad working knowledge of C5ISR electronics integration, military aviation mod/retrofit programs, or technical IT infrastructure support.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance is required; an active Top Secret/SCI is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience expanding a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or navigating transitioning out of small business size standards.
  • Background or certification in formal capture methodologies (e.g., Shipley).
  • Active engagement within industry groups like NDIA, AFCEA, or AAAA.
