Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
Good product data helps good products do their job
Our Product Information Management (PIM) team ensures that customers, partners and colleagues can find accurate, consistent product information wherever they need it. We use Inriver as our PIM platform, closely integrated with our e-Business ecosystem. We are looking for a Senior Developer for the PIM platform and its surrounding solutions.
About the job
You will be a hands-on member of our PIM team, building and evolving the solutions that keep product data flowing between Inriver and the systems around it. You will work closely with product data managers, architects and business stakeholders, from the first discussion about a need into a solution running in production.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain custom extensions and integrations for Inriver in C# / .NET.
- Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate Inriver with surrounding systems, such as ERP, web, digital asset management and channel/syndication solutions.
- Model and improve our product data structures together with the business.
- Troubleshoot data and integration issues and improve the stability and performance of the platform.
- Write testable code, take part in code reviews and contribute to our CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Refine requirements together with stakeholders and help shape what we build next.
- Share your knowledge, document what you build and help colleagues grow.
- This role is based in Lund, Sweden, and follows a hybrid working model with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Who are you
A senior developer who enjoys the mix of technology and data. You like to understand the problem before you write the solution, you speak up when something can be done better, and you take ownership from idea to production. You are comfortable working independently and just as comfortable in a team that moves fast and keeps a tight agile rhythm.
What you know
- Must have
- Solid professional experience as a developer with strong skills in C# and .NET
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrations between systems
- Experience with Git, automated tests and CI/CD
- Good understanding of software design principles and clean, maintainable code
- Good communication skills in English, written and spoken
- Strong advantage
- Hands-on experience with Inriver (e.g. extensions, the Remoting/REST APIs, data model, Enrich/Syndicate) or another PIM/MDM platform
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as serverless functions, message queues and secrets management
- Experience with data integration, ETL or message-based architecture
- Experience from product data, e-commerce or manufacturing environments
- No Inriver experience? If you are a strong .NET developer with integration experience and curious about product data, we will teach you the platform. Experience from agentic coding is a plus.
What we offer
- Team. A close-knit, experienced team with a good pace and a pragmatic, agile way of working.
- Purpose. Pioneering positive impact is not a slogan on a wall here. Our customers use our solutions to save energy, clean water and make food and medicine available to more people.
- Stability. Alfa Laval is a listed company with more than 140 years of history, present in around 100 countries. We think long term, invest steadily in technology and do not chase hype. You can build something here and see it last.
- Growth. Real influence over technical choices, and time to learn: onboarding on Inriver and our product data landscape, plus room for your own development.
