PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Data Engineering & Analytics Senior Manager is responsible for making sure Catch Coverage's data is accurate, connected, and trusted across the business. Our call center, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) operation, and distribution business generate data on calls, leads, enrollments, carrier commissions, agent licensing and contracting, and marketing spend. This role brings it together so leaders can see what is happening and make better decisions.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set the direction for our data platform, build and maintain the pipelines and data models behind it, and manage a small team that grows with the function. You will turn complex data into reliable reporting and forecasting for operations, sales, compliance, and finance, while protecting sensitive customer information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own architecture, build-versus-buy decisions, and standards across Snowflake, AWS, orchestration, transformation, and third-party tooling
- Build and run production ETL/ELT pipelines from REST APIs, cloud storage, CRM, Genesys Cloud, Retreaver, carrier and licensing/contracting sources, and book-of-business systems, with testing, monitoring, alerting, and documentation
- Manage Snowflake operations, including role-based access, warehouse sizing, query performance, Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) handling, and consumption cost control
- Own incident response, including on-call and escalation procedures, root-cause analysis, and recovery runbooks
- Build dimensional models and curated marts for agents, agencies, carriers, plans, leads, calls, enrollments, policies, and commissions
- Deliver a semantic layer and analytics-ready datasets that power dashboards and controlled self-service
- Produce call center volume and staffing forecasts, including Annual Enrollment Period and Open Enrollment Period seasonality, and commission and revenue forecasts
- Support segmentation, attribution, experimentation, and predictive models (such as lead scoring and agent attrition) where they change a decision
- Lead, coach, and set priorities for the data team, and hire as the roadmap justifies
- Maintain a written quarterly roadmap and intake process for new data requests
- Partner in person with operations, sales, compliance, finance, and technology leaders to define requirements and drive adoption of the numbers
- Own the data function budget (Snowflake, AWS, software, contractors, vendors), forecast spend, and bring renewal and investment recommendations to leadership
Requirements
- 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a closely related role, including 2+ years leading or mentoring a data team and making architecture or technology decisions
- Advanced, current Snowflake experience: data modeling, SQL optimization, RBAC, warehouse and workload management, and cost management
- Advanced SQL and strong Python, with a track record of building and running production ETL/ELT pipelines and API integrations
- Deep knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality testing, observability, and cloud object storage
- Working statistical competence: forecasting, segmentation, experimentation design, or predictive modeling applied to business decisions
- Experience owning or materially influencing a cloud, software, or vendor budget
- Ability to explain technical decisions and tradeoffs to non-technical executives, and to say no with a reason
- Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale or Clearwater, Monday through Friday
