About the role

Location: Melbourne

Your role

At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.

You'll be part of our Information Technology team, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. The team partners with the business to deliver secure, practical and effective technology solutions that support how our people work and serve our clients.

We're looking for a Project Manager who enjoys helping people adopt technology and ways of working. You'll lead the delivery of technology-enabled business solutions while partnering closely with stakeholders to drive business readiness, change and adoption outcomes.

As a Project Manager, you will

Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology-enabled business solutions, from initiation and planning through to deployment and transition to support.

Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues and dependencies, maintaining clear project plans and delivery activities in Jira.

Coordinate cross-functional business and technical teams, vendors and specialist partners to resolve challenges, remove blockers and deliver implementations with minimal operational disruption.

Drive business readiness and adoption by assessing impacts and coordinating communications, training and stakeholder engagement activities.

Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements, assess solution options and ensure outcomes align with strategic priorities and governance, security and delivery standards.

Build trusted relationships with sponsors, business leaders, subject matter experts and technical teams, and facilitate workshops, governance forums and steering committees.

Provide clear and timely reporting on project status, financials, risks, issues, decisions and benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.

This is a fixed-term 12-month, part-time opportunity (3 days per week). At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.

About you

You are a proactive and curious Project Manager who enjoys learning new technologies, solving problems and working with stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes. You bring a positive, solutions-focused mindset, take ownership of outcomes and thrive in environments where priorities evolve and continuous improvement is encouraged.

You will have

  • Demonstrated experience delivering technology implementations, business system upgrades, migrations, digital transformation initiatives or enterprise platform deployments.
  • Experience delivering technology implementations where business readiness, stakeholder engagement, training and user adoption were critical to success.
  • Strong project management, governance, financial management and reporting skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence influencing senior leaders and translating complex information for varied audiences.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft 365.
  • A curious, collaborative and solutions-focused approach, supported by strong ownership, accountability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in legal, professional services or another knowledge-based organisation is advantageous.
  • A formal project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile or equivalent would be beneficial.
