Team & Position Overview We're hiring a Senior Manager of Sales Development: based in our Sydney, Australia office. You'll open doors with enterprise marketing leaders, build relationships, and develop qualified new-business opportunities for senior business development colleagues to take forward and close.
The position is hybrid and reports to the Asia Managing Director. This is an individual-contributor role focused on early-stage business development, not managing a sales team or having final negotiations. You'll work closely with local leaders, marketing, and solutions experts, combining in-person events and networking with inbound lead qualification and proactive outbound prospecting. Our prospects include CMOs, heads of marketing, and other in-house marketing leaders at companies with substantial media and marketing investment.
Our enterprise agreements combine consulting services with enterprise SaaS, and sales cycles typically run from 6 months to as long as 18 months for large enterprises. You'll build credibility, understand initial needs, and sustain relationships through that process. What you’ll be doing: Build a pipeline of qualified new-business opportunities through targeted research, cold calling, email outreach, and your own networking.
Follow up on marketing-generated leads, establish initial relationships, and assess their relevance to our solutions. Work with local leaders and marketing to attend relevant industry events, represent Analytic Partners, and turn new connections into ongoing conversations. Research target companies, their marketing priorities, and the issues shaping their industries to make outreach relevant. Engage CMOs, heads of marketing, and other decision-makers in initial discovery conversations about business goals, measurement challenges, and potential needs.
Nurture relationships over long enterprise sales cycles, coordinating follow-up with marketing and senior business development colleagues. Hand qualified opportunities to senior business development colleagues with clear context on stakeholders, initial needs, and agreed next steps; support continuity as they take ownership of the opportunity and closing process. Use thought-leadership content and solutions expertise to help prospects understand our approach to marketing and commercial decision-making.
Maintain accurate Salesforce records of contacts, activity, qualification findings, and pipeline progress. Develop and progress qualified opportunities to support team revenue targets, prioritizing relevance and quality as well as activity. What we look for in you: At least 5-8 years of demonstrated success generating and qualifying enterprise opportunities for marketing data, analytics, or software solutions. Experience engaging enterprise marketing decision-makers in initial needs discovery.
An understanding of consultative enterprise sales, multiple buyer stakeholders, and the persistence required for long sales cycles. The ability to discuss how data and analytics can improve marketing returns and business performance, and recognise when to bring in a solutions expert. Confidence building professional relationships through local industry events, networking, phone conversations, and written outreach. A proactive approach to researching prospects and creating opportunities, alongside effective collaboration with marketing and senior business development colleagues.
Experience using Salesforce to maintain accurate contact and pipeline records and report on progress. Clear communication, active listening, and the ability to build rapport and trust with senior stakeholders. The ability to manage multiple prospect relationships and follow-through independently without losing detail or momentum. Our differentiator is: Our People!
