Better Decisions Begin with You

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world. As an organisation, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

Launch Your Career in Actuarial Consulting

Aon is looking for soon-to-be graduates and recent graduates to join our Insurance Actuarial Consulting & Reinsurance Analytics Graduate Programme. You do not need to be an actuarial expert on day one. Over the programme, you will develop into a credentialed, advisory-capable actuary who applies quantitative techniques, data, models, commercial insight and professional judgement to help insurance and reinsurance clients understand, price, transfer and manage financial risk. Through our Launch Programme, professional study support and on-the-job learning, you will build ownership, curiosity, collaboration, client focus and sound judgement from the start.

What is Insurance Actuarial Consulting & Reinsurance Analytics?

Aon's actuarial teams help insurers, reinsurers and other risk-bearing organisations make better decisions by applying data, analytics, modelling and business insight to complex risk challenges. Across Insurance Actuarial Consulting and Reinsurance Analytics, you may support clients with areas such as pricing, reserving, capital modelling, risk transfer, catastrophe management, rating agency advisory, strategy and technology-enabled analytics.

How work is changing

AI and digital tools are automating routine data preparation, reconciliation and baseline calculation; augmenting output checking, report drafting and documentation; and elevating the importance of assumption-setting, scenario analysis and clear methodology communication. You will also learn how to validate, challenge or override AI-enabled outputs and orchestrate delivery across people, offshore teams, tools and workflows.

What You Will Do

As an Actuarial graduate, you will develop hands-on actuarial and analytical experience. You will see how data, models, clients and strategy come together to deliver value. Technology, including AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, analytics platforms and digital productivity tools, increasingly supports routine data preparation, reconciliation and baseline calculation, allowing actuarial colleagues to focus earlier on reviewing AI-pre-populated baselines, prompting and refining outputs, auditing AI outputs, testing assumptions and knowing when human expertise should override automation, as well as judgement, scenario thinking, methodology communication to bring value.

Depending on business need and role alignment, you will join either the Strategy & Technology Group (STG) within Insurance Actuarial Consulting or the Reinsurance Analytics team.

Strategy & Technology Group (STG) – Insurance Actuarial Consulting

In STG, you will be part of a multi-disciplined actuarial consulting team that supports clients across the life and non-life insurance value chain. Aon's global client base, proprietary data, technology capabilities and insurance industry expertise help the team provide insight into sources of competitive advantage, risk, growth and resilience.

As an STG Actuarial Consulting graduate, you will work with experienced consultants on client projects, develop technical and consulting skills, and contribute to analysis that supports strategic, commercial and risk-based decisions for insurers.

Reinsurance Analytics

In Reinsurance Analytics, you will support clients and brokers with actuarial, catastrophe management, rating agency advisory and risk and capital strategy expertise. You may work on technical modelling and analysis, while also helping translate findings into clear recommendations for brokers, clients and market partners.

Responsibilities may include

  • Building and running models for pricing, reserving, capital and profitability, including reviewing AI-pre-populated baselines where relevant.
  • Configuring and challenging assumptions as calculation activity becomes increasingly automated.
  • Conducting data and risk analysis to identify patterns, test scenarios and validate outputs against actuarial principles.
  • Supporting profitability, insurance and reinsurance pricing, reserving, capital, catastrophe, exposure and risk-transfer analysis.
  • Drafting precise reports, summaries and presentations that communicate complex technical findings clearly and meet good-governance and financial reporting standards.
  • Supporting senior actuaries in client meetings by helping translate methodology and technical analysis into a clear narrative.
  • Contributing to actuarial research, process improvement and technology-enabled ways of working, including responsible use of AI-enabled outputs and offshore delivery workflows where appropriate.

Your Development

As an Aon Graduate, you will be enrolled onto our Launch Programme when you join Launch is a structured Early Careers development programme that combines meaningful work, business learning, professional development and relationship-building across Aon. The programme helps you build a strong foundation for a long-term actuarial and advisory career through:

  • Every application is carefully reviewed by our team (not by AI).
  • Due to the high volume of interest, this stage can take up to two weeks.
  • Please note: We do not review CVs or cover letters at this point.
