Create your best future and join Westpac as a Unite Transformation Capability Lead!

What’s the role?

As the Unite Transformation Capability Lead, you will provide overall leadership of UNITE EDGE, with end-to-end accountability for strategy development and execution, portfolio prioritisation, partner orchestration and performance of the core Unite transformation capability enablement team. You will lead the core function and create one integrated direction across strategy, portfolio, adoption, communication and performance. You'll translate the UNITE priorities and the DDO ambition into a practical multi-year roadmap and own prioritisation and investment recommendations, balancing leadership, professional, technical and workforce-transition needs.

Key Responsibilities include

Develop, maintain and execute the Unite Transformation capability strategy, value proposition, operating model and roadmap

Lead the team, set objectives, allocate work, manage performance and build capability across direct reports

Own Portfolio prioritisation, sequencing, resource trade-offs and investment recommendations

Establish and lead the Unite transformation capability team operating rhythm; prepare Design Council decisions and ensure actions are executed

Commission work from partners and resolve cross-functional dependencies, duplication and accountability gaps

Ensure learning and development are embedded in work, leadership routines, crucibles and transformation delivery

What do I need?

To be successful in this position you will have experience in enterprise strategy and portfolio management and be a strong leader with proven experience across transformation, capability, learning, culture, change or enterprise program delivery. You will have previously built a new function from the ground up, setting up operating rhythms and delivering results.

Skills and experience required include

Demonstrated accountability for strategy execution, portfolio decisions and leading multidisciplinary teams

Strong commercial, governance and risk judgement in a complex, regulated organisation

Ability to influence executives and align partners without relying on direct authority

Experience creating measurable outcomes from capability, culture or workforce investment
