IS&T Retail Store Apps Engineering is responsible for the technology and IT systems used to enable Apple Retail Stores to service millions of customers enabling Apple Retail to become one of the best retailers in the world. Retail and Marcom Engineering, an IS&T team, builds and operates the systems and

experiences that connect Apple's products with its customers. The team owns the technology

behind both Apple's online and physical stores and drives the interactive marketing experiences

and tools that keep creative operations moving. Together, those functions deliver the

technology behind every product story Apple tells and every purchase a customer makes.

The Retail Engineering Point of Sale (POS) team is responsible for the technology and IT

systems used to enable Apple Retail Stores service to millions of customers and are an industry

leader in Retail. As part of this team, you'll contribute to the infrastructure that keeps Appleʼs

award-winning retail experience running seamlessly.

As a Quality Engineer you'll need to take an active role in shaping the quality of our software.

This will demand deep integration with our development engineers, creating test plans, bug

reporting and triaging, identifying automation opportunities, and supporting design reviews.

You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce

duplication, foster better testing, and preserve product stability. We are building a passionate

and diverse team that will span a broad range of applications, tools, and frameworks. We need

your help to reach Apple's high standards of quality.

Design and execute comprehensive test plans for iOS features, covering functional,

regression, and integration testing scenarios

Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve test coverage and efficiency

Identify, document, and track software defects through the entire bug lifecycle, working

closely with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers during feature development to

ensure quality requirements are defined and testable

Validate software builds, device configurations, and use cases to ensure compatibility and

performance

Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes, testing tools, and automation

frameworks

Report on testing progress, quality metrics, and release readiness to stakeholders, providing

clear insights into product quality

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience

3+ years of relevant testing experience

Proficiency in Java or similar language

Proficiency in SQL

Experience testing iOS applications

• Hands-on experience using generative AI/LLMs for test generation, code review, and
• documentation
• Excellent communication skills with a sense of ownership and ability to advocate for quality
• across teams
• Self-motivated with sharp attention to detail and a mindset for finding edge cases
• Track record of reducing repetitive manual processes through automation and tooling
• improvements in Python Java or similar language.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• methodologies
• Ability to read and assess code quality and risk across Java or similar languages
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, prioritize issues by customer impact, and
