We have more than 124,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.
Join our Media Licensing team as an Account Manager, Digital Licensing in a full-time, permanent role. You’ll manage a portfolio of digital licensees across music and audiovisual services, build strong relationships and help protect and optimise licence revenue. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll bring account knowledge and insights to commercial and operational decisions.
The role is based in our Ultimo office, which is on Gadigal land.
As an Account Manager, Digital Licensing, your responsibilities will include:
Build proactive relationships with digital licensees and manage the full agreement lifecycle, from onboarding and ongoing account management to renewals and offboarding. Maintain a thorough understanding of their services, agreements and commercial performance.
Monitor licence fees, reporting, invoicing, payments, usage and distribution to support agreement compliance. Identify risks, anomalies and service changes, and work with internal stakeholders to resolve issues or escalate where required.
Analyse account performance, revenue and market developments to support forecasting and commercial discussions. Contribute insights to proposals, negotiations and agreements for existing licensees, and track agreement terms and expiry dates with the business development team.
Keep account records, trackers and documentation accurate and current. Share account knowledge, provide guidance or training where required, improve account-management
processes and contribute to project work.
To thrive in this role, you'll need
2–3 years’ experience in account management, commercial operations, licensing, media, digital platforms or a related field, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to interpret financial, operational or performance information, plus attention to detail and the ability to apply contractual and commercial requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities independently to deadlines. Sound Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel and SharePoint, and experience with financial data, trackers and shared documentation.
A genuine interest in the evolving local and global media landscape. Knowledge of digital music, audiovisual services, streaming, copyright or collective licensing would be advantageous, as would experience with CRM, workflow, reporting, business-intelligence or AI productivity tools such as Dynamics 365, Jira, Power BI and Microsoft Copilot.
