Analyst

• Assist the investment team during the identification, the analysis and the execution of Direct Funds deals and in the monitoring of selected portfolio companies.
• Target research
• Market Monitoring & sourcing

• Participate to the monitoring of the market and competition on his/her market segment, study economic data (specialized press, economic and financial press, Internet, etc.)
• Research information on potential targets companies or sector, gather, analyze various documents (desktop research, market report…) in order to establish a market or a company profile (screening) and determine company/sector attractiveness

Deal Execution

Execution of Investment Strategy

• Participate to preliminary assessment on a specific target by reviewing all Documents (Information Memorandum, Vendor due diligence reports : Market, Financial DD…) and perform complementary due diligence / analysis on the company

Investment papers

• Contribute to the production of the Investment papers (2 pager, Investment memo) in order to highlight key pillars of investment thesis (including DD findings, value creation thesis, BP, valuation & return analysis) & facilitate decision making

Financial modeling & structuring

• Contribute to the financial modelling, perform Excel analyzis and models (business plan, cash flow projection, structuring, incentive management package, fundflow)

Fundflow and closing preparation

• Prepare mark up on confidentiality agreements
• Prepare the fundflow

Monitoring of portfolio companies

• Monitor the performance of our portfolio companies (including monitoring of value creation plan, analysis of financial performance, monitoring of digital project, working cap optimization plan …)

M&A and Value creation

• Participate to value creation through the review of M&A (target screening, build-up...) and organisational growth opportunities alongside management team of portfolio companies

Corporate Governance (Management of the relationships with co investors, board members and Management)

• Participate to reporting or board meetings with managers

Internal reporting

• Write update notes for (Monthly meeting) team and prepare Internal portfolio overview

Company Resale/Exit Process

Divestment Information Package

• Participate to the preparation of the Divestment Information package (Business Plan, Management presentation, Information memorandum, VDD) alongside Management team and Advisors (M&A bank & consultants)

Business Plan

• Prepare business plan with management teams

Closing preparation

• Participate in the compliance and legal check out process of the deals
• Prepare Fund flows

Fundraising

• Contribute to the preparation fund-raising materials

Reporting

• Fill required information in Ardian reporting tools (incl Kate)
• Prepare reports to Limited Partners (annual, quarterly, AGM, ad hoc), marketing/communication documents

Required academic background

• Master degree specializing in business, management, mathematics, engineering, with a specialization in finance (financial analysis and strategy, corporate and market finance, finance international, applied economics, accounting-control-audit, economic and financial engineering, asset management, etc.)

Required professional experience(s)

• Experience in asset management, private equity, investment banking, in an audit or consulting firm
