An Amazing Career Opportunity for a Product Manager Desktop Authentication RFID Readers!!

Location: Cardiff, UK

Job ID: 52101

As Product Manager for Desktop RFID readers, you are in charge for all RFID products inside a plastic housing. You report to the Director Product Management.

You will define strategic vision, develop the comprehensive roadmap, and establish KPIs for the Desktop products. Drawing on your expertise, customer insights, and input from business lines and Reader BU management, you'll articulate the business value and strategic rationale to ensure the product team clearly understands the purpose behind each product initiative and release.

You will own all aspects of the product lifecycle—from initial concept through commercialization to end-of life—and lead the team in defining the product portfolio and driving its commercial success.

Your responsibility covers proven markets and established products and their life cycle management, but part of your duties is to develop new products for new markets within the RFID authentication market, too. This requires direct collaboration with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Pre-Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to execute strategies that meet both business objectives and market demands.

In this role, you will identify emerging technology trends and drive platform reuse strategies across HID's IDentification Technologies (IDT) and Physical Access Control Systems (PACS) portfolios. You'll partner with IDT business leaders, global engineering teams, and regional organizations to allocate budgets and develop comprehensive product management strategies that advance our market position.

You'll leverage the technical depth within the IDT organization to strengthen our competitive advantage while driving customer demand and nurturing key relationships. You must be passionate about technology, deeply customer-centric, and continuously attuned to industry trends in cloud platforms, physical and logical access control, and identity management.

The ideal candidate combines a global mindset with cultural awareness, thrives in fast-paced team environments, and demonstrates strong results orientation. You bring data-driven decision-making capabilities, sharp business and commercial acumen. You have a technical understanding in EE and embedded software, but you are comfortable in navigating business driven decisions.
