Position Summary

The Executive Vice President, Measurement for Marketers (MFM), will lead ANA’s efforts to shape the future of marketing and media measurement. This senior executive will establish and advance a clear, marketer-led vision, helping marketers navigate an increasingly fragmented, data-driven, and AI-enabled ecosystem while strengthening their ability to demonstrate marketing’s contribution to business growth and enterprise value.

This is a highly visible industry leadership role. The EVP will represent the priorities of marketers to senior executives across the marketing and advertising ecosystem and build strong relationships with measurement providers, platforms, media companies, agencies, standards-setting organizations, and industry associations. The executive will convene diverse stakeholders, foster cross-industry collaboration, and lead efforts to improve the quality, transparency, consistency, comparability, and business relevance of measurement.

The EVP will set the strategy and priorities of the Measurement for Marketers practice and lead a three-person team responsible for translating that direction into member and industry value. The portfolio includes major strategic initiatives, proprietary research and guidance, the Enterprise Marketing Measurement Leadership Council, a national industry conference, additional member events, and other educational and thought-leadership programs.

As a member of the CEO’s senior leadership team, the EVP will contribute strategic thinking and executive judgment to the broader leadership and operations of the ANA. The successful candidate will bring the credibility, relationships, judgment, and subject-matter expertise required to shape industry priorities and move the measurement ecosystem toward practical solutions that better serve marketers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Strategic and Industry Leadership

Establish and lead the strategic agenda for the Measurement for Marketers practice, advancing its focus beyond paid-media measurement to encompass the holistic measurement of marketing’s contribution to business growth and enterprise value. Identify and prioritize the measurement issues most consequential to marketers and translate them into focused industry initiatives, research, guidance, and member value.

Serve as ANA’s senior subject-matter expert and external representative on marketing and media measurement, articulating a clear marketer perspective with senior executives, industry organizations, standards bodies, and other influential stakeholders.

Build trusted relationships and foster collaboration with marketers, agencies, media companies, platforms, measurement providers, industry associations, and standards-setting organizations. Maintain and advance ANA’s strategic relationship with the Media Rating Council, supporting rigorous industry standards, independent verification, and accreditation that strengthen confidence in measurement.

Lead initiatives that improve the quality, transparency, consistency, comparability, and business relevance of measurement, addressing both holistic enterprise marketing impact and the effectiveness of paid-media investments. Strengthen marketers’ ability to connect marketing activity and investment to incremental growth, brand and customer value, market share, profitability, and other enterprise outcomes.

Lead the Enterprise Marketing Measurement Leadership Council and other executive and industry forums that identify marketer priorities, inform the MFM agenda, and help build support for meaningful industry progress.

Monitor developments in media, data, technology, privacy, artificial intelligence, and measurement methodologies; assess their implications for marketers; and ensure that MFM remains at the forefront of emerging industry needs.

Practice and Organizational Leadership

Lead, develop, and support a high-performing three-person team, translating strategy into clear priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of MFM initiatives, research, programs, and member services.

Provide strategic oversight of the practice’s portfolio, including the national industry conference, additional member events, webinars, committees, executive engagement, educational programming, and thought-leadership content.

Collaborate across ANA practices and functions to advance shared organizational and member priorities.
