Job Title: Senior Java Developer
Location: Bangalore, India (Work from Office / Hybrid as applicable)
Work Timing: EST hours; flexibility to collaborate with customer teams as required
Experience: Typically 8+ years in software development and delivery, including hands-on coding, business analysis and Agile team leadership.
Engagement Type: Contract
Catalight Foundation is seeking a Senior Java Developer with current, hands-on Spring
Boot experience. This person will work full-time on a staA augmentation basis, reporting to
the Senior Software Architect. The technical stack below outlines the expected skills.
Technical Stack
- Platform: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring REST, Swagger, Postman
- Database: Relational databases, SQL, transactions
- Unit Testing: JUnit 5, REST Assured
- QA: Manual UI testing, automated backend testing
- UI: React, TypeScript
- Observability: Datadog
Schedule
- Project dates: November 1, 2026 – March 1, 2027
- All team members are expected to be available during U.S. working hours for daily stand-up
- meetings, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives, escalations, production deployments,
- and other Agile ceremonies.
- Outside these commitments, team members may work during their local business hours,
- with daily code check-ins and reviews.
- The team will follow a weekly sprint cadence.
