Business Analyst

Sydney, Australia In person Full-time

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for Business Analyst who enjoys working across the full delivery lifecycle and is comfortable moving between client workshops and hands-on platform work. You will own the analysis stream on client engagements, translating real operational processes into well-designed Mitti formerly SafetyCulture solutions, automations & integrations and you will carry each solution through to a successful handover.

The Frontline Solutions practice helps clients digitise how work gets done on the frontline: safety, quality, compliance, inspections, audits and asset assurance. We implement and extend Mitti (formerly SafetyCulture) for large enterprise clients in sectors such as logistics, automotive, resources, rail & food manufacturing and connect it to their wider systems through integration, automation and reporting. Our engagements run from discovery through design, build, test, training, deployment and handover.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse and document business and solution requirements through Mitti workshops, walkthroughs and interviews.
  • Author business requirements documents, user stories, acceptance criteria and maintain requirements traceability in Jira and Confluence.
  • Review current-state processes, assess requirements against platform capability and define future-state process flows.
  • Translate requirements into Mitti configuration designs and integration specifications
  • Design, build and validate Mitti templates, schedules, issues, actions and asset hierarchies in sandbox environments, then deploy and verify them in production.
  • Specify and prototype automations and integrations, including with Workato Integration Builder, and contribute to reusable automation patterns
  • Define reporting requirements, user models for Power BI dashboards and scope data remediation where needed
  • Design test strategies, system integration, user acceptance test scenarios, support defect triage and resolution.
  • Produce training materials, deliver client training and orientation sessions.
  • Prepare handover documentation that sets clients up to run and evolve their solution
  • Support project governance: stand-ups, status, steering committee reports, RAID and open-question registers.
  • Present kick-offs, solution design walkthroughs and platform demonstrations to client audiences
  • Help build practice assets such as delivery methodology, knowledge packs, onboarding material and reusable templates.
  • Explore and apply AI and agentic tooling (for example Microsoft Copilot) to improve the quality and efficiency of analysis and delivery work

Working Conditions

  • Employment Type – Permanent full time
  • Office Location – Sydney
  • Travel Opportunities – Occasional business travel
  • Working arrangements - Hybrid

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Experience with Mitti (SafetyCulture), including templates, schedules, issues, actions and asset hierarchy is essential
  • Mitti (SafetyCulture) certification, such as Certified Improvement Expert
  • Integration and automation experience, particularly Workato
  • At least 2years of business analysis experience on MItti (SafetyCulture) technology implementation projects in a consulting environment
  • Strong requirements elicitation, documentation and process modelling skills (for example Visio or BPMN)
  • Confident workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement, with clear written and verbal communication
  • Hands-on experience configuring a SaaS or low-code platform, with a willingness to get into the details of build and testing.
