Description
Augeo is seeking a Tax Manager to own day-to-day tax compliance across our multi-entity organization. The role is hands-on, covering both preparation and oversight: you will prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns through CCH SureTax, reconcile tax accounts, manage the company-wide tax and entity compliance calendar, and serve as the primary internal liaison with our outside CPA firm for income and franchise tax matters.
This is a newly created role with full ownership of Augeo’s tax compliance processes. You’ll centralize sales and use tax work that’s currently spread across the organization, build the compliance calendar, and design the processes you’ll run day to day. The scope is broad, spanning indirect and income tax, entity management, registered agents, international compliance, and R&D credit support, giving you exposure well beyond a typical sales tax role.
The ideal candidate pairs strong technical tax knowledge with operational discipline. You take ownership of your work, anticipate deadlines before they become urgent, and use technology to make processes faster and more accurate. You will work independently, bring solutions rather than questions, and help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow.

Oversee R&D tracking and reporting, coordinating time-tracking data to support R&D tax credit calculations and documentation
Monitor state and local tax law changes affecting filing obligations, nexus positions, or tax rates.• Document and maintain standard operating procedures and internal controls for all tax compliance processes.

- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, AI tools (such as Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or Grok), or other automation tools used to streamline tax processes.
