About the Position Aurora’s mission is to provide data-driven intelligence to support the energy transition. To support this mission, we are looking for an Analyst or Senior Analyst to join our Global Energy Markets team in Singapore, with 1-3 years of relevant experience. The Global Energy Markets team produces Aurora’s central outlook and scenarios for the development of natural gas, oil, and coal markets, which underpin Aurora’s analysis of power markets.
The successful candidate will focus on Asia-Pacific energy markets, with a focus on natural gas, coal, and other fuels and their role in the power sector, while also contributing to our analysis of global energy markets. You will gain a deep understanding of Asia-Pacific energy markets, work closely with the commodities modelling team, develop forecasts and original analysis, deliver research to clients, contribute to new products and services, and represent Aurora externally.
You will also have opportunities to support Aurora’s Advisory work, including strategic and transaction-related projects. The role reports to the Associate, Global Energy Markets in Singapore and works closely with Aurora’s power market teams. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced analysts or consultants from top-tier strategic or economic consultancies, energy companies, financial services companies, or knowledge-driven firms or institutions.
Prior experience in natural gas is essential. You will report to the Singapore-based Global Energy Markets product manager and work within Aurora’s larger Research team, spread across multiple offices.
