AutoCanada is the largest Canadian owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group operating in Canada and the US. We are innovative, data-driven and our commitment to our Team Members, customers and operational excellence fuels our success.

We find opportunities to reward high-performers regularly and are looking for managers that empower and motivate their teams to do their very best. We want someone whose values align with our own and can support our people-driven culture of learning and continuous development. Working here is fast-paced, non-stop, and a little unpredictable—and we love it.

About the role

AutoCanada is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to be the bridge between our Finance and dealership operations stakeholders and the Information Management (IM) solutions team. You will turn business needs into clear, buildable specifications for reporting, automation, and application solutions used by senior leadership and stores across our multi-brand dealership network.

This is a hands-on role. You will run requirements sessions with senior stakeholders, map how data moves across our systems, answer business questions with data, and design the dashboards that leaders use to run the business. The quality of your upstream work directly shapes how well every solution fits the people who use it.

What you'll do

Reporting and dashboard design: Define specifications for dashboards and reports, including layout, calculated measures, filtering logic, and data source mapping. Review adoption and usability of deployed reports and recommend improvements.

Requirements elicitation: Lead structured requirements sessions with senior Finance and operations stakeholders. Translate needs into clear specifications with data requirements, business rules, logic flows, and acceptance criteria that developers can build from.

Workflow and data flow mapping: Determine the source systems, data flows, and business logic needed for each report, dashboard, or automation. Document current and future-state processes to inform data design.

Ad hoc analysis: Explore dealership and financial data to surface trends, anomalies, and performance gaps. Present findings clearly to non-technical senior audiences.

Business process improvement: Evaluate Finance and dealership processes (e.g., flooring and stock-in) to find inefficiencies and automation opportunities. Document recommendations and track that improvements deliver results.

Stakeholder coordination: Keep stakeholders and the solutions team aligned from requirements through deployment. Diagnose whether roadblocks come from unclear requirements, data limitations, or misaligned expectations, and drive them to resolution.
