Position Description

Ayar Labs, the global leader in optical I/O chiplets, is harnessing silicon photonics to revolutionize the scaling of AI compute hardware. Join our business development team to research the range of value and engagement models companies use to build products together, and to turn that research into a practical decision framework our team can apply to real partnership situations.

What you’ll do

• Research and frame the spectrum of partner engagement models.
• Study how comparable deep-tech and semiconductor companies structure their partner collaborations, and extract the key trade-offs.
• Synthesize the findings into a repeatable “how we choose a value model” decision tool the team can use to evaluate real opportunities.
• Apply the framework to one or two illustrative scenarios as a worked example.

Intern Skillset Needed

• Proficiency with mainstream and emerging AI-enabled business tools and methods
• Experience with technical market analysis, customer-oriented thinking, and business planning
• Strong interest in the AI infrastructure and technology markets, with a willingness to tackle challenging goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with engineering, building, or working with computer/technology hardware
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI tools in innovative, high-leverage ways
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirements

Candidate should be actively pursuing a Master’s in Business Strategy, Business Development, Corporate Strategy, or MBA
