Job responsibilities

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Month End closing responsibilities including Journal Entries and reconciliations.
• Support the annual budget process by gathering and analyzing production, cost, and labour data
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, overtime, and labour utilization
• Partner with Operations to analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for process improvement
• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting schedules and reconciliations

Hourly Payroll Administration (Union Environment)

• Assist in processing weekly/hourly payroll in compliance with union agreements, labour standards, and company policies
• Validate employee timecards, shift premiums, overtime calculations, and other union-related pay provisions
• Maintain accurate payroll records for unionized employees and prepare payroll-related journal entries and reconciliations
• Work closely with HR to ensure new hires, terminations, and employee changes are reflected accurately in the payroll system
• Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner, maintaining confidentiality at all times
