The Project and Programme Delivery function manages software development projects across multiple business and platform areas. This Senior Project Manager will lead the highest-profile and most demanding deliveries, primarily across Sports, Martech and Player Account Management, while providing delivery assurance and support across the function.

Working with development, testing and leadership stakeholders across global offices, the role may coordinate more than 20 teams, divide major programmes into manageable projects and delegate work packages to Project Managers or Project Co-ordinators. It also includes deputising for the Project Portfolio Manager, mentoring peers and quality-assuring project documentation.

This role is eligible for inclusion in our hybrid work from home policy. The working arrangement is 3 days per week in the Denver office.

• Proven experience managing simultaneous deliveries across multiple technology platforms and software
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
• Familiarity with architecture, software development, testing, release management, databases, networks, platforms and operations
• Broad knowledge of project management terminology, tools and techniques
• Ability to plan and balance competing priorities and deadlines across complex delivery
• Experience influencing complex relationships and adapting communication for different audiences
• Ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly language and tangible outcomes
• Strong Microsoft Office and data analysis skills, including meaningful presentation of business data
• Excellent delivery record with resilience, flexibility, attention to detail and a continuous improvement focus
• Lead the highest-profile and most complex deliveries from initiation through delivery and closure
• Remain accountable for major projects, dividing them into multiple projects and delegating work packages where required
• Coordinate concurrent delivery involving potentially more than 20 teams across different timescales
• Ensure projects are resourced, planned and controlled using appropriate tools to manage scope, time, risk and quality
• Define scope, solutions, detailed delivery plans and implementation plans with business and technology stakeholders
• Direct and support technical leads and project teams while controlling changes in scope and priorities
• Monitor milestones and deliverables and report clear status updates to senior stakeholders
• Manage risks, issues, assumptions and decisions through to closure
• Deputise for the Project Portfolio Manager, coach peers and quality-assure project documentation
• Champion continuous improvement across Project Delivery and the PMO
