Location: Baar, Switzerland
About This Role
As a Senior Techno-Functional Analyst – Supply Planning & External Collaboration, you will play a key role in supporting Biogen’s global supply chain planning operations, with a particular focus on supply and demand planning.
You will act as the primary IT expert for supply planning applications, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure systems are effectively implemented, supported, and continuously improved. You will combine hands-on technical expertise with a strong understanding of supply chain planning processes to translate business requirements into practical IT solutions.
A key priority will be supporting the implementation and long-term adoption of Kinaxis, Biogen’s advanced planning system. You will become part of the dedicated Kinaxis Center of Excellence (CoE), helping drive system adoption, troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and build confidence among business users.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact in Baar for supply and demand planning applications, particularly Kinaxis.
- Support the implementation, ongoing optimization, and long-term adoption of Kinaxis as part of the dedicated Center of Excellence.
- Provide hands-on application expertise, including troubleshooting, system enhancements, configuration, and continuous improvement activities.
- Partner with supply chain planners and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Coordinate with global IT teams, application support, external vendors, and business analysts to resolve issues and deliver system improvements.
- Drive user adoption through knowledge sharing, training, and support for business users and super users.
- Manage and prioritize IT requests, ensuring timely resolution of critical issues and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with the Solothurn site IT and Material Planning teams to ensure alignment between site-level and global supply planning processes.
- Support planning-related master data management and integration between advanced planning systems and ERP platforms.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring solutions meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Who You Are
You are a hands-on IT professional with strong experience in supply chain planning systems, ideally within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. You understand both the technical and functional aspects of planning applications and can confidently engage with business users to identify issues, recommend solutions, and support system improvements.
You bring practical experience with advanced planning systems, preferably Kinaxis, and enjoy being close to the technology rather than focusing solely on project or stakeholder management.
You are comfortable working independently as the main IT representative for supply planning in Baar while collaborating with global teams and external partners. You communicate clearly, build trust with stakeholders, and take ownership of issues through to resolution.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in application development, delivery, or stakeholder management within pharmaceutical supply chain environments.
6+ years of experience in IT project management, application support, system enhancements, consulting, or product management.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain planning processes, particularly supply and demand planning.
Hands-on experience with advanced planning systems, preferably Kinaxis.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, including planning-related master data management.
Experience with external manufacturing processes and partner collaboration systems such as E2open or equivalent.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical IT regulatory requirements, including GAMP 5 and FDA 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211.
Ability to troubleshoot application issues, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and coordinate system improvements.
