Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in backend database validation testing and SQL-based data verification. The candidate should also have experience testing RESTful APIs and be comfortable validating data flows between application and database layers. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions through comprehensive testing and defect analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for front-end and back-end applications
- Lead quality assurance efforts throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- 5+ years of experience writing and executing complex SQL queries for data validation, backend testing, and root-cause analysis.
- 2+ years of experience testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC practices.
- Proven experience with defect management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
