Finance Intern

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assist with balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Calculate Virginia state sales tax for capital / maintenance part purchases
• Assist with calculation of manufacturing KPI’s
• Participate in project to transform treasury management from an individual company basis to a country wide cash pool
• Streamline consolidated financial reporting process
• Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Currently enrolled in an accredited degree seeking program in the following fields: Accounting or Finance

Organizational Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Regular and reliable attendance required

Working Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a teammate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Intern is required to work in an office environment and on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate frequently will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat and/or cold. The teammate may continuously work near moving mechanical parts. The teammate will be exposed to loud noises from production equipment and thus will be required to wear PPE. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be high at times due to production and mechanical equipment noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be performed by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to set, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms; see, talk and /or hear. The teammate will be required to lift, twist, climb, bend, stoop and crouch.

The teammate will need to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
