Job Purpose

The Associate Technical Specialist is responsible for technical ownership of complex modules, subsystems, and product functionalities. The role translates business requirements into robust technical solutions while driving design quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

The Associate Technical Specialist serves as the technical lead within a Scrum team, mentoring engineers and guiding technical decisions to ensure successful product delivery.

The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in enterprise application development, software architecture, engineering best practices, and technical leadership, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

What You’ll Do

Technical Design & Ownership

• Own the design and implementation of complex modules and product subsystems.
• Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
• Drive solution architecture decisions within the Scrum team.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
• Lead estimation and technical design activities for complex enhancements.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as one of the go-to technical experts within the Scrum team.
• Mentor Developers and Senior Developers on engineering best practices and design approaches.
• Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and solution evaluations.
• Provide guidance on coding standards, architecture principles, and quality expectations.

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

• Lead advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of complex production issues.
• Drive improvements in application performance, maintainability, and system stability.
• Identify technical debt and recommend remediation strategies.
• Proactively identify risks and propose alternative technical approaches.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and Technical Specialists to ensure successful delivery.
• Support technical planning and roadmap discussions at feature and module level.
• Contribute to software releases, deployments, and post-release support activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables align with established architectural standards.

Quality & Engineering Excellence

• Promote adoption of coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Drive implementation of code quality best practices.
• Review critical code changes and technical designs.
• Ensure robust technical documentation is maintained.
• Lead and contribute to the development of AI-Driven SDLC use cases.

• To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:
• 7-9 years of software development experience.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering complex enterprise applications.
• Experience leading technical delivery within Agile/Scrum teams.
• Preferably experience in Financial Services or Wealth Management product development.
• Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, system decomposition, and software architecture principles.
• Experience with performance tuning, scalability, security, and resiliency practices.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and cloud-native development concepts.
• Advanced troubleshooting and production support capabilities.
• Hands-on experience in efficiently using AI-Powered Tools for AI-assisted development practices.
• Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to influence technical decisions within a Scrum team.
• Strong ownership mindset with focus on balancing delivery and technical excellence.
• Proven ability to anticipate risks and drive proactive solutions.

Education

B.E./B.Tech/MCA.

Preferred: Experience in developing Artificial Intelligence based products, Generative AI applications, utilities, including Agentic AI.
