Job Purpose
We are hiring a few Delivery Manager roles to guide the day-to-day delivery of technology initiatives within a Burberry product squad. You will create the clarity, coordination and momentum that enable work to move effectively from planning through to release. Working closely with product, engineering and delivery colleagues, you will manage dependencies, address risks and help shape realistic commitments. Your understanding of technology and product delivery will enable you to test assumptions and support informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day squad delivery, helping work move predictably from the backlog through to release in line with sprint and quarterly commitments.
- Manage cross-team handovers and dependencies, establishing clear ownership and resolving obstacles with product, engineering, architecture, data and platform colleagues.
- Maintain an accurate RAID log, addressing risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies early and escalating matters when senior input is required.
- Provide clear reporting on delivery progress, finances and resource capacity to support effective planning and governance.
- Track third-party delivery against agreed quality, timelines and ways of working, addressing performance concerns constructively.
- Partner with product and delivery leaders to evaluate estimates, plan capacity and deliver product, platform and technical improvement initiatives.
Personal Profile
- Experience in delivery management, technical delivery or product-focused project management within a digital technology environment.
- A practical understanding of engineering and product delivery, with the ability to examine estimates, assumptions and proposed approaches.
- Good knowledge of agile delivery methods, particularly Scrum, and experience working across several teams or interconnected workstreams.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, capacity and third-party delivery across a combination of permanent, contractor and partner resources.
- A clear and considered communicator who can provide concise, transparent updates and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
- Sound judgement and a collaborative approach, with experience in retail, luxury or consumer goods welcomed but not essential.
- Burberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and experience.
