PERSONAL PROFILE
The Portfolio & Transformation Analyst supports the effective running of the Technology Transformation team by providing the analytical capability, reporting, coordination and process discipline required to manage Burberry's technology portfolio, financial and commercial landscape and strategic transformation activities.
Analysts may be aligned primarily to Portfolio Management & Governance, Technology Business Management or Technology Transformation at any given time but operate as a common, flexible capability. Assignments may change as priorities, workload or development needs evolve, and Analysts are expected to build sufficient knowledge across the team's disciplines to operate effectively in different areas over time.
The role combines analysis and insight with the practical reporting, coordination and administrative activities required to operate the Technology Transformation team's processes effectively. Analysts are expected not only to maintain information and execute processes accurately, but also to interpret information, identify trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities and translate complex data into clear reporting and actionable insight.
The role does not own portfolio prioritisation, funding decisions, project delivery, vendor strategy or transformation outcomes. It provides the analytical insight, data quality, reporting and coordination that enables accountable leaders to make and execute informed decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analyse data to identify trends, variances, risks, dependencies, anomalies and emerging issues, escalating material findings and providing clear insight to support decision-making.
- Produce high-quality governance and management reporting, including dashboards, scorecards, status reporting, financial analysis, RAG summaries, action trackers and leadership updates.
- Translate complex data and information into concise, decision-ready insight appropriate for senior technology and business stakeholders.
- Reconcile information from multiple sources, identifying inconsistencies or gaps and working with data owners to improve accuracy and completeness.

- Coordinate inputs from Domain and Platform teams, Technology Project Managers, Senior Delivery Managers, Finance, Procurement, third-party partners and other stakeholders against agreed reporting and governance cycles.
- Maintain relevant portfolio, financial, commercial and transformation tooling, including Shibumi where applicable, ensuring information is complete, current and aligned to agreed standards.
- Support the consolidation and administration of risks, issues, dependencies, actions and decisions for portfolio and governance reporting, while accountable delivery and functional owners remain responsible for managing the underlying items.
- Proactively identify opportunities to automate, simplify and improve reporting, data management, governance processes and tooling, reducing manual effort and administrative overhead.
- Develop reusable analysis, reporting approaches and good practices that can be applied across the Technology Transformation team.
- Work flexibly across Portfolio Management & Governance, Technology Business Management and Technology Transformation according to team priorities, workload and development needs, rapidly building sufficient subject-matter understanding when moving between assignments.
