Reporting to the Financial Controller, the AP Clerk is primarily responsible for preparation and review of payable transactions. The successful candidate will be an individual with a strong accounting background, an analytical and critical thinking focus who can work with individuals across multiple disciplines to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the accurate and timely processing of invoices, ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Maintain positive relationships with vendors and resolve payment discrepancies where needed

Review and approve payment batches, ensuring proper coding and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Reconcile accounts payable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Generate regular reports and analysis on accounts payable activities, presenting findings to senior management as required.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry-specific requirements.

Diploma or certification in accounting is preferred.

3+ years’ experience in core accounting processes is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft D365 would be considered an asset.

Experience in a collaborative environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Willingness to learn, grow and develop in the role and into the future.
