Organizational Change & Transformation Lead – Banking Technology

Toronto, Canada In person Full-time

Connect people, technology and transformation. Enable lasting change across banking operations.

The Role

At Capco, we're looking for an experienced Organizational Change & Transformation Lead to play a pivotal role in a major Enterprise Technology Asset Management (ETAM) transformation for a leading Tier 1 Canadian financial institution.

This is a high-visibility, client-facing opportunity to shape and coordinate organizational change, technology adoption and operational readiness across five interconnected workstreams, ensuring that new capabilities, processes and operating models are successfully embedded across the organization.

You'll work at the intersection of people, technology and business transformation, partnering with senior stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners to support the implementation and adoption of ServiceNow, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities and Technology Asset Lifecycle Management (TALM).

A key focus will be enabling successful Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) transitions, ensuring that teams have the knowledge, skills, processes and confidence needed to take ownership of new capabilities and sustain them within business-as-usual operations.

We're looking for someone who brings more than traditional change management expertise: someone who can build trusted relationships, navigate complex stakeholder environments and translate transformation objectives into meaningful, measurable and lasting change.

What You’ll Do

Shape and coordinate organizational change and Build-Operate-Transfer activities across five ETAM workstreams, aligning stakeholder engagement, technology adoption, operational readiness and transition plans with transformation objectives and delivery milestones.

Develop and deliver change management strategies, including stakeholder analysis, change-impact assessments, communications planning, training-needs assessments and adoption initiatives that help teams successfully transition to new technologies, processes and operating models.

Support the implementation and adoption of ServiceNow, CMDB and Technology Asset Lifecycle Management capabilities, working closely with business and technology stakeholders to establish clear ownership, accountability and sustainable operational practices.

Coordinate knowledge-transfer and operational transition activities, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, shadowing and reverse-shadowing, competency assessments and readiness evaluations to ensure teams are prepared to take ownership of new capabilities.

Partner with senior stakeholders, workstream leads and delivery teams to address adoption challenges, monitor business readiness, measure change effectiveness and ensure a successful transition into business-as-usual operations.

What We’re Looking For

8–12+ years of overall professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in organizational change management, operational transformation or knowledge transfer within complex business or technology environments.

A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting financial services or enterprise technology programs, with an understanding of large-scale technology transformation, IT service management, technology governance and operational resilience.

Demonstrated experience developing and delivering organizational change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, change-impact assessments, communications, training and business-readiness activities across complex transformation programs.

Strong experience supporting Build-Operate-Transfer methodologies, knowledge-transfer planning, operating-model transitions, SOP and runbook development, and the transition of new technology capabilities into sustainable business-as-usual operations.

Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, navigate resistance to change, influence stakeholders and support successful adoption of new processes and ways of working.

Bonus Points For

Previous experience supporting enterprise technology transformation or organizational change initiatives within Tier 1 Canadian financial institutions, particularly in enterprise technology asset management or asset lifecycle governance.

Experience supporting ServiceNow adoption programs, CMDB implementations, Technology Asset Lifecycle Management rollouts or other enterprise IT service management transformations.

Exposure to large-scale training delivery, digital learning platforms, change analytics, operational readiness assessments or adoption measurement.

Experience supporting regulatory control operating-model transitions, offshore-to-onshore knowledge transfer or complex operational handovers involving geographically distributed teams.

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Communications, Information Technology or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification in Change Management or Organizational Development is advantageous. Professional certifications such as Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or CCMP are preferred, with ITIL 4 Foundation, PMP, SAFe Agilist or APMG Change Management Practitioner considered additional advantages.
