Senior Associate, Website Marketing Strategist | Retail Bank

The Capital One Consumer Bank Marketing team is a growing group looking to bring in a new Website Strategist Senior Associate. In this role, you will leverage your experience in marketing strategy to support comprehensive marketing campaigns and bring innovative site projects to life. Working in close collaboration with business analysts, marketers, and our design, tech, and creative partners, you will help bridge the gap between strategy and execution. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented, capable of seamlessly managing multiple projects at once, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of quality across all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Optimization

Translate Objectives into Strategy: Partner with marketing, creative, product, and tech to understand business goals and translate them into actionable website strategies (e.g., user journeys, landing page structures, and content flows).

Data-Driven Insights: Leverage site analytics to understand customer behavior. Use these insights to optimize website content, improve the user experience, increase conversion rates, and make informed decisions that drive business growth.

Strategic Planning: Support the creation of intent decks, creative briefs, and monitoring documentation to clearly define project intent and success.

Project Management & Execution

Shepherd Multiple Workstreams: Act as the project lead for site updates, product launches, and marketing campaigns. Manage projects from intent to execution, ensuring the final output aligns with the initial strategy and timelines are met. Proactively communicate updates to partners and key stakeholders.

Quality Assurance & Attention to Detail: Conduct pre-launch QA to ensure all web content match expected updates.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with creative, marketing, product, legal, compliance, business analysts, and external agencies to ensure all projects meet the requirements of partner teams and align on project scopes.

Site Ambassadorship: Act as an advocate for the website in partner conversations, actively identifying ways the site can support marketing initiatives and driving internal linking opportunities.

Influence & Problem Solving: Leverage problem-solving and influencing skills to gently push back when needed and ensure stakeholder requests deliver on strategic intent and best practices.

Impactful Communication: Build presentation materials and cohesive documentation to effectively communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations, inform progress, and influence outcomes.

This role is designated as a hybrid position. You are expected to adhere to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• At least 3 years of experience in Consumer Marketing, Communications, or Project Management
• At least 3 years of experience executing cross-channel marketing communication campaigns

Preferred Qualifications

Marketing experience in financial services or other highly regulated industry

Experience working on website strategy, ideation and execution

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Wilmington, DE: $87,700 - $100,100 for Sr. Associate, Marketing

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
