That's why we're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join our Change and Transformation Directorate.

This is more than a service design role. It's an opportunity to influence how support is experienced across a national organisation, shaping services that create more time to care, improve outcomes and deliver lasting impact for the people who rely on them.

The Change and Transformation Directorate enables the delivery of strategic programmes, service redesign, organisational improvement and innovation across Change Grow Live. Our multidisciplinary teams work collaboratively to redesign services, deliver digital transformation and support sustainable change that improves outcomes for the people we support.

Our ambition is to reach people sooner. We want more people to find the right support earlier, before harm and crisis escalate. To achieve this, we are focusing on three connected priorities: preventing harm and crisis, creating more time to care, and improving experience and impact. We are strengthening the link between ambition, action and impact so that every change has a clear line of sight to better outcomes.

Every improvement we make should enable better outcomes for the people we support and the colleagues who deliver our services. As a Service Designer, you'll play a key role in making that happen.

The Opportunity

This is your opportunity to help shape how support is experienced across Change Grow Live.

Working within a multidisciplinary agile team, you'll use service design, user-centred design and business analysis approaches to uncover needs, identify opportunities and redesign experiences that work better for everyone involved.

You'll bring together the perspectives of people using our services, frontline colleagues and stakeholders from across the organisation to create solutions that are practical, inclusive and evidence-driven.

Through research, co-design, prototyping and testing, you'll help transform insight into meaningful improvements that can be successfully adopted, delivered and sustained.

You'll challenge assumptions, simplify complexity and help create services that enable colleagues to spend more time caring while helping more people access support when they need it most.

The Difference You'll Make

Join our Service Redesign Team and you'll help shape how support is experienced across Change Grow Live.

You'll spend time understanding the needs of people who use our services and the colleagues who deliver them, turning insight into practical improvements that help us create more time to care, improve experiences and reach people sooner.

No two projects will be the same. One day you might be facilitating a co-design workshop, bringing together different perspectives to explore new possibilities. The next, you could be mapping a service journey, testing a prototype or helping colleagues see challenges through a different lens.

Working across transformation programmes with organisation-wide impact, you'll turn ideas into practical change, helping shape services that are easier to access, easier to deliver and more effective for the people who rely on them.

Most importantly, you'll see the direct impact of your work, helping more people access the right support at the right time.

Location

• This is primarily a home-based role within a virtual national team, with travel to locations across the UK as required.
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
• Contract Type: 2 year Fixed Term Contract.
• Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and any associated payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

• You might already be working as a Service Designer, or in another role focused on improving services and experiences.
• What's most important is that you're curious about people, passionate about improvement and motivated by meaningful change.
• You enjoy bringing different perspectives together, asking thoughtful questions and finding ways to turn complexity into clarity. You're comfortable working with uncertainty and can balance creative thinking with practical delivery.
• You'll know how to build relationships, gain trust and bring people with you on a journey of change.
• Above all, you'll believe that the best services are designed alongside the people who use and deliver them.
