Overview
We are looking for a Director, Lumina Agentic Platform to lead execution across Lumina agentic platform pods. This leader will own roadmap execution, platform delivery, release quality, cross-pod coordination, QA/Eval alignment, production support, and operational readiness for AI-powered agent capabilities.
The Lumina Agentic Platform supports reusable AI agent capabilities, orchestration patterns, evaluation workflows, runtime services, reporting, integrations, and production support foundations that enable agent experiences across multiple product and business workflows. This role requires strong delivery discipline, platform thinking, engineering leadership, and the ability to align product, engineering, QA/Eval, operations, and support teams around reliable execution.
This is a delivery-oriented engineering leadership role for someone who can keep Lumina platform work close to product priorities while ensuring shared platform capabilities are scalable, reusable, supportable, and built with strong quality standards.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Lead Lumina Agentic Platform pods across roadmap execution, delivery predictability, engineering quality, release readiness, and production support.
- Coordinate with product leadership, AI Platform, QA/Eval, operations, support, and Front Office teams to keep agentic platform work aligned, prioritized, and unblocked.
- Clarify pod ownership, staffing needs, escalation paths, QA/Eval coverage, release criteria, platform support expectations, and post-release accountability.
- Manage priority sequencing across platform backlog, reusable agent capabilities, product dependencies, customer needs, release velocity, and support load.
- Ensure teams build shared Lumina platform capabilities that reduce duplication across orchestration, runtime, evaluation, monitoring, reporting, integrations, and agent workflow delivery.
- Build practical operating rhythms for planning, delivery tracking, quality review, launch readiness, production monitoring, escalation review, and post-release learning.
- Identify delivery risks, support risks, platform gaps, and capacity constraints early, then drive practical resolution.
- Coach engineers, technical leads, and pod leaders toward clearer ownership, stronger execution, and higher standards for platform reliability and production quality.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify repeated workflow, tooling, evaluation, or integration needs that should become reusable Lumina platform capabilities.
- Represent Lumina Agentic Platform status, tradeoffs, delivery risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Experience leading product engineering, platform engineering, AI application, workflow automation, production engineering, or enterprise technology teams.
- Strong operating discipline across roadmap execution, release quality, support ownership, escalations, platform delivery, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity while maintaining delivery velocity, engineering quality, and production reliability.
- Experience partnering with product, platform, QA/Eval, operations, support, customer-facing teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong judgment around AI agent reliability, platform scalability, workflow quality, operational risk, support load, and escalation management.
- Experience building reusable platform capabilities, shared services, integrations, evaluation frameworks, monitoring practices, or production support models.
- Excellent people leadership, including coaching, prioritization, execution management, hiring, stakeholder communication, and accountability setting.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate can run a high-velocity platform engineering area without losing quality, control, or operational discipline. They understand that Lumina Agentic Platform capabilities must support multiple agent experiences, reduce duplication across teams, and provide reliable foundations for AI-powered workflows.
They are practical, execution-oriented, and able to balance product urgency with platform scalability. They can guide teams through ambiguity, clarify ownership, raise quality standards, and ensure production-ready capabilities are delivered with strong supportability and measurable business value.
Why This Role Matters
The Lumina Agentic Platform is central to scaling AI-powered agent experiences across product and business workflows. This leader will help increase delivery velocity, improve production quality, reduce duplicated platform work, strengthen QA/Eval alignment, and ensure agentic capabilities scale with clear ownership, strong operational discipline, and reusable platform leverage.
