Yardi Systems Development & Implementation (Fund Accounting)

London, United Kingdom In person Full-time

About the Role CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (IA&R) is seeking a seasoned technical leader to shape the future of our digital operating model. As an Associate Director within Digital Business Operations, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Yardi solutions that underpin our global fund accounting and administration services. This is a senior-level position for an expert who bridges the gap between deep accounting operations and advanced technical execution. You will partner with stakeholders across the business and technology landscape to translate complex requirements into secure, scalable, and high-performance Yardi environments. What you’ll do

  • Technical Strategy & Leadership: Serve as the senior subject matter expert for Yardi, advising on configuration, technical constraints, and implementation pathways. Provide technical direction and coaching to developers, consultants, and implementation partners.
  • Full Lifecycle Delivery: Lead end-to-end implementations, upgrades, and module deployments—from discovery and requirements definition to production deployment and hypercare.
  • Platform Configuration: Architect Yardi environments to support complex fund structures, including general ledgers, accounting rules, security models, and approval workflows.
  • Technical Development: Oversee back-end configuration, including SQL-based database analysis, script development, custom reporting, interface management, and platform extensions.
  • Quality & Governance: Own delivery quality by establishing rigorous standards for documentation, peer reviews, release management, and change control. Direct functional, integration, and performance testing to ensure production readiness.
  • Data & Integration: Lead critical data migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, and transformation. Design and maintain robust integrations between Yardi and the broader IA&R digital ecosystem.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Investor Services, and D&T teams to scope projects, manage budgets, and resolve complex technical incidents. What you’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree and extensive technical experience delivering Yardi implementations, with deep proficiency in database architecture, system configuration, and SQL-based scripting for data migration and troubleshooting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of investment and fund accounting operations, including capital activity, consolidations, allocations, and financial reporting controls.
  • Proven ability to lead the full software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to production deployment and stabilization.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage complex delivery workstreams, coach technical teams, and influence stakeholders across global, cross-functional environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Yardi Investment modules (such as Voyager or Investment Manager) and modern integration patterns like APIs, ETL, and business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of audit controls, segregation of duties, and information security requirements within regulated, global financial operations.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, Jira, and structured release governance practices. What We Offer:
  • Opportunity to lead strategic Yardi solutions that support a global fund accounting and fund administration business.
  • Collaboration with business, product, data and technology specialists across IA&R and CBRE.
  • A global, team-oriented environment with meaningful opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, aligned with the role and location.
