The role will provide a combination of hands-on project management, programme coordination and PMO leadership across these streams. The successful candidate will manage defined delivery activities while supporting the wider programme through integrated planning, governance, risk and issue management, dependency management and senior-management reporting.

This is not intended to be a narrow or administrative PMO role. The individual must understand the substance behind programme status, identify barriers to delivery and work across Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, Risk and Controls to drive issues and actions to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Programme Delivery and Governance
  • Manage the planning and execution of assigned Strategic Ledger workstreams and cross-programme activities.
  • Translate programme objectives into executable plans, milestones, deliverables, ownership and acceptance criteria.
  • Coordinate delivery across Operations, Finance, Technology, Product, Risk and Control stakeholders.
  • Maintain integrated plans, milestone schedules, action trackers, decision logs and governance calendars.
  • Manage risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, ensuring clear ownership, mitigation actions and target dates.
  • Identify critical-path activities, sequencing conflicts, resource constraints and cross-workstream dependencies.
  • Facilitate path-to-green planning where delivery is off track or at risk.
  • Track decisions and actions from governance forums through to completion.
  • Support compliance with Citi programme governance and CPMC standards.

Senior-Management Reporting

  • Produce clear, concise and decision-oriented status updates for senior Operations management and programme governance forums.
  • Consolidate complex information across multiple workstreams into a coherent executive narrative.
  • Report progress, milestones, delivery outlook, RAG status, risks, issues, dependencies and required decisions.
  • Ensure programme reporting is accurate, evidence-based and consistent with underlying plans and delivery information.
  • Prepare executive summaries, scorecards, dashboards, briefing notes and steering materials.
  • Highlight matters requiring senior-management intervention and clearly explain the decision or support required.
  • Present programme status and respond confidently to challenge where required.
  • Business Analysis and Implementation Support
  • Work with stakeholders to understand current-state processes, target-state operating models and operational impacts.
  • Facilitate workshops to clarify scope, requirements, responsibilities, dependencies and delivery decisions.
  • Document business requirements, operational impacts, use cases and acceptance criteria where required.
  • Assess impacts on business processes, accounting flows, reconciliations, controls, reporting and operational ownership.
  • Support traceability from requirements and design through testing, implementation and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate Operations participation in testing, data validation, readiness assessments, migration and implementation activities.
  • Apply structured analysis to delivery problems, identify root causes and drive practical resolution actions.
  • Support post-implementation stabilization and transition into business-as-usual ownership.

Required Experience

  • 7 or more years of experience in project management, programme delivery, PMO, business analysis or transformation.
  • Financial Services or Banking experience.
  • Experience supporting complex, large-scale business, Finance or Technology transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience managing plans, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, actions and governance.
  • Experience producing high-quality executive reporting and governance materials.
  • Ability to manage detailed delivery activities while maintaining a clear view of overall programme status.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills across Operations, Finance and Technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and drive actions to completion.
  • Confidence constructively challenging stakeholders and escalating issues clearly.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • A combination of Project Management, PMO and Business Analysis experience.
  • Ledger, Finance-platform, Oracle or Enterprise Resource Planning transformation experience.
  • Large-scale system migration or legacy-platform replacement experience.
  • Knowledge of operating ledgers, sub-ledgers, General Ledgers, product processors or accounting feeds.
  • Experience in data migration, reconciliation, controls, testing or operational readiness.
  • Experience supporting multiple concurrent workstreams and senior governance forums.
  • Experience working across North American and UK stakeholder groups.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Business Analysis or equivalent professional qualification.
  • An accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
