Data Analyst with SAS

Location: Bangaluru Karnataka India

The Data/Information Mgt Int Anlst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies.

Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information.

Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and development - MIS and Business reporting (BAU and Adhoc ), business analysis, other data requirements (Code, Test and Execute) and assist with simple analytics requirements
• Work closely with partners across business units to understand project requirements, timely delivery and partner communication with 100 % accuracy and solving business problems.
• Act as point of contact for specific deliverables and lead projects and delivery (hands-on)
• Develop consistency across reports and develop meaningful dashboards and publish them, share best practices across Information solutions group
• Timely partner communication and attending business calls·
• Data driven solutions and working on critical Initiatives, identify opportunities to drive data analytics solutions. Identify opportunities to create to deliver value add to the business and lead them
• Design and development of MIS / Business reporting, Ad hoc analysis·
• On-time delivery and quick TAT, multi-task and manage multiple projects independently and helps junior analysts deliver, provide technical / non –technical guidance as required·
• Planning and Prioritization, Partner communication. Lead new transitions within tight timelines·
• Automation of BAU, develop self-service solutions and deliver business value

Qualifications

Established competency in one or more of the following

• 4-6 years of relevant work experience in MIS / Reporting / Data analytics/Data Management within Banking / Financial
• Data manipulation, extraction of data from huge / complex databases using SAS / SQL is required (SAS hands-on experience is a must, should be an expert in data management, SAS etc.)
• Design & development of complex reports, design of dashboards etc. is required
• Strong analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability· Strong presentation and communication skills·
• Strong process/project management skills
• Hands-On knowledge – SAS

Education

Master's degree in information technology / information systems / computer applications / engineering from a premier institute. BTech/B.E/MCA in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications with additional 2 years of experience
