Product Engineer

Berlin, Germany In person Full-time

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a small product engineering team at an early-stage energy technology company. You will work closely with customers and take full-stack solutions from discovery to production, helping simplify complex energy retail challenges through intuitive, production-ready products. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Work with customers to understand their problems and use those insights to guide product and engineering decisions. - Build and ship end-to-end features across the stack, from early discovery through production. - Use AI-native development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor to accelerate development and expand your impact. - Own zero-to-one initiatives, including customer payment and retention workflows and customer portal improvements. - Make thoughtful decisions about what to build, defer, or stop, based on user and business needs. - Address energy retail challenges such as billing, procurement, retention, and cost optimization. - Help shape engineering culture, tools, and processes, and contribute to raising the team's technical bar.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Typically 2 to 13 years of experience, with shipped product work and demonstrated technical ability valued more than résumé tenure. - Strong full-stack skills and experience taking products from discovery through production. - Fluency in German at C1 level or higher. - Comfort using AI-native development tools as practical force multipliers. - Evidence of exceptional technical ability through shipped projects, founding work, competitions, research, or comparable experience. - Experience or strong interest in energy retail, including billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost optimization. - High ownership, sound judgment, and comfort working in an ambiguous early-stage environment.
