ABOUT THE ROLE Join an early-stage freight and logistics technology team as a customer-facing engineer. You will work directly with logistics teams to turn operational challenges into reliable, AI-powered products, partnering closely with engineering from discovery through deployment. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Work with logistics teams to understand their workflows and translate customer needs into system designs. - Build full-stack tools using TypeScript and Node.js, with React where appropriate. - Integrate enterprise systems such as ERP and transport management platforms, APIs, SFTP, and event queues. - Develop reliable data pipelines for messy information from multiple sources. - Help shape product direction and technical decisions with the engineering team. - Own work from initial design through production deployment, iterating quickly based on user feedback. - Travel regularly to customer sites across Europe and Asia.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 3 years of experience building full-stack applications or backend systems in production, with a record of stable engineering roles. - Strong TypeScript and Node.js skills, plus experience designing APIs and integrating external and enterprise systems. - Experience specifying and shipping products directly with users, and building backend infrastructure that can scale. - Production experience delivering LLM or agent functionality, such as RAG, evaluations, or orchestration. - Familiarity with Docker, Terraform, GCP, or AWS, and building data pipelines for unstructured or inconsistent data. - Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and comfort working with autonomy in an early-stage environment. - React or another modern frontend framework is a plus.
Logistics, supply chain, or operations experience is also beneficial. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION Hybrid in Berlin, Germany, with regular travel to customer sites across Europe and Asia.
