Founding Technical Partnerships Lead

ABOUT THE ROLE A frontier AI data and evaluation infrastructure company is seeking a Founding Technical Partnerships Lead to build relationships with advanced AI research teams. You will connect researchers' needs with dataset, evaluation, and commercial initiatives, while helping establish the partnerships function. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build relationships with researchers and technical leaders at frontier AI organizations and understand their priorities. - Identify needs across post-training, model evaluations, agents, and scientific data. - Translate technical requirements into dataset specifications, experiments, and evaluation frameworks. - Share customer insights with machine learning and product teams to inform technical roadmaps. - Develop partnership engagement approaches, go-to-market strategy, and commercial positioning. - Help define and scale the partnerships function, with potential to build and lead a team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - At least 3 years of experience in AI partnerships, business development, or research-facing roles at an AI data company, AI lab, technical AI startup, or research organization. - Existing relationships with frontier AI labs, alongside experience closing enterprise deals for AI data, datasets, or technical services. - Experience translating machine learning researchers' needs into dataset specifications, experimental designs, and evaluation protocols. - Demonstrated success building technical partnerships, identifying needs through discovery, and turning them into commercial opportunities. - Experience developing go-to-market strategies and commercial models for technical products or services. - Strong understanding of foundation models, post-training, AI agents, and evaluation methods; ML research or engineering experience is a plus. - Comfort operating independently in an early-stage, ambiguous environment.

Scientific data or experimental design experience is a plus. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary: $100,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Other listed locations include Zurich, Switzerland, and San Francisco, United States; arrangements for those locations are flexible to discuss.
