Job Summary The support engineer is responsible for providing day to day production support incident resolution service request fulfillment monitoring and troubleshooting for the Oracle OPERA Property Management System PMS. The role supports critical hotel operations including reservations front desk operations cashiering housekeeping guest services and reporting. The engineer will work closely with business users infrastructure teams database teams vendors and Oracle support team Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Provide Level 2 support for Oracle OPERA PMS.
Investigate and resolve application incidents and service requests. Perform initial troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Support reservation management booking related issues check in/check out and guest profile issues. Support hotel operational reporting and data validation. Monitor application availability and system health review application logs and alerts. Support batch jobs interfaces and scheduled processes.
Investigate interface failures and transaction processing issues. Required Skills Experience supporting Oracle OPERA PMS. Reservations Management Front Office Operations Guest Profile Management Cashiering and Billing Housekeeping Operations Room Inventory Management Night Audit Processes Application support incident management SLA based support delivery Log analysis and troubleshooting. Windows Server fundamentals. IIS basics.
Basic networking concepts. Application monitoring and support. Additional Desired Skills Experience in hotel resort casino or hospitality environments. Exposure to Oracle Hospitality ecosystem. Knowledge of Simphony POS. Experience supporting hospitality interfaces and integrations. ITIL Foundation Certification. Splunk Dynatrace SolarWinds Basic Oracle database exposure. Vendor coordination and support experience. Exposure to release and deployment support
