Junior PowerBI developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power

BI reports, Paginated reports, and dashboards based on business requirements.

• Gather, analyze, and translate

business needs into technical specifications and data models.

• Create calculated columns and

measures using DAX.

• Use Power Query to extract,

transform, and load data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, cloud

sources).

• Implement and manage row‑level

security (RLS) and follow governance standards for data access and security.

• Ensure data quality, consistency,

and accuracy through validation, testing, and documentation.

• Collaborate with data engineers,

analysts, and business users to align BI solutions with business goals.

• Publish and manage content in Power

BI Service, including workspaces, apps, dataflows, and refresh schedules.

• Provide support, and best‑practice

guidance to self‑service Power BI users.

• Create flows/schedules in Power

Automate

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in

Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or related

field (or equivalent experience).

• Hands‑on experience 2+ years

building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.

• Strong proficiency in DAX for

building calculated measures.

• Solid experience with Power Query/M

and data transformation techniques.

• Good understanding of relational

databases, SQL querying, and data modeling concepts (facts, dimensions, star

schema).

• Understanding of data governance,

security, and compliance concepts.

• Strong analytical, problem‑solving,

and communication skills.

• Ability to work closely with

business stakeholders, gather requirements, and convert them into technical

designs.
