Job Summary

InterScripts Software Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Workday Finance Analyst /Consultant with 5+ years of experience in Workday Financial Management and ERP finance processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong functional expertise in Workday Financials, including configuration, implementation, business process optimization, financial reporting, and production support. The role involves collaborating with finance stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective Workday solutions aligned with organizational objectives.

Candidates should have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with US-based teams during Eastern business hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Workday Financials Configuration and Support

• Configure, maintain, and support Workday Financial Management modules based on business requirements.
• Work with General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Procurement, Expenses, and Fixed Assets.
• Configure business processes, approval workflows, accounting rules, financial dimensions, and security roles.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and recommend appropriate solutions and process improvements.
• Support Workday Financials enhancements, system updates, and ongoing optimization.

• Business Requirements and Functional Analysis

• Collaborate with finance teams, business stakeholders, and end users to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications and Workday configuration designs.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions aligned with finance processes and business objectives.
• Document business processes, configuration decisions, functional requirements, and solution designs.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.

• Financial Processes and Reporting

Support key finance processes, including

Record-to-Report (R2R)

Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

Order-to-Cash (O2C)

• Financial accounting and period-end close
• Expense management and supplier payments
• Support financial reporting, accounting structures, reconciliations, and data validation.
• Ensure financial data accuracy and adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.
• Assist with developing and maintaining Workday reports and dashboards.

• Implementation, Testing, and Deployment

• Participate in Workday Financials implementations, rollouts, and enhancement projects.
• Support configuration, data migration, and financial data validation activities.
• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify defects, coordinate resolutions, and validate fixes.
• Support deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

• Integrations and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with technical teams to support Workday integrations, reporting requirements, and data exchange.
• Coordinate with other Workday functional teams to address cross-module dependencies.
• Resolve production issues and provide timely functional support.
• Conduct end-user training and prepare functional documentation, process guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Workday Financials, Workday Finance functional consulting, or related ERP finance consulting.
• Strong functional knowledge of Workday Financial Management.
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following modules:

General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Procurement

Expenses

Fixed Assets

• Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including R2R, P2P, and O2C.
• Experience with Workday business process configuration, functional analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Workday Financials implementation, enhancement, or production support projects.
• Knowledge of financial reporting, accounting structures, and internal financial controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Financial Management certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience with Workday integrations, calculated fields, custom reports, and report writing.
• Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Experience in consulting, implementation projects, or client-facing environments.
• Familiarity with financial compliance, audit requirements, and enterprise finance controls.
• Experience supporting Workday releases, production incidents, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Work Arrangement: Work From Office (WFO).
• Working Hours: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST.
• Time Zone Alignment: US Eastern business hours.
• Candidates must be comfortable working evening and night hours and collaborating with US-based teams.
• Regular onsite attendance at the Hyderabad office is required.
