Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java
• applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering best
• practices.

Develop

• scalable RESTful APIs and backend services supporting mission-critical
• applications and high-performance enterprise systems.
• Design,
• optimize, and troubleshoot relational database solutions using MariaDB and
• other enterprise database technologies.

Support

application modernization initiatives through containerization, Kubernetes

deployments, and continuous improvements to system architecture.

Participate

in technical design sessions, architecture discussions, code reviews,

troubleshooting, and Agile software development activities.

Develop

• and maintain automated testing solutions and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to
• improve software quality, deployment efficiency, and operational
• reliability.

Collaborate

with cross-functional engineering teams using Jira and Confluence while

supporting the complete software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration. CCA candidates will not be considered for this position at this time.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related
• technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Candidates
• without Bachelors degrees will require an additional 4 years of software
• engineering experience.
• For a SWE Level 1 a minimum
• of seven (7) years of software engineering experience
• on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity will be required.
• For a SWE Level 2 a minimum
• of fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience
• on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity will be required.

Experience

developing Java enterprise applications using Spring Boot or similar

modern frameworks.

Experience

developing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases such as

MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar technologies.

Experience

with container technologies (Docker or Podman), Kubernetes, or other

modern application deployment platforms.

Experience

working in Agile development environments using Git-based source control,

CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices.

Desired Skills

Experience developing Angular or other modern web

applications.

Experience

with microservices architecture, application modernization, or

cloud-native software development.

Experience

implementing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.

Experience

tuning SQL performance and supporting high-volume enterprise applications.

Experience

using Jira and Confluence to support Agile software development.

Strong

troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills across application,

database, and deployment technologies.

Experience

supporting enterprise software within secure or classified environments.
